Your Business

How Do You Spell Success

Define success? Is success making $100k per week, per year or in a lifetime online?

Do you want a huge business with several employees? Maybe you want a small business generating enough capital to replace your salary, pay a couple bills or make a car payment.

Do you want to work full time in your online business? Or is your goal to work X number hours per week?

It doesn’t matter my goals or some guru’s goals. What will success look like for you?

Your Goals

Your Goals

I am confident that if you don’t see it before you see it, you will never see it (Tried unsuccessfully online to find who made this quote).

You must see the end before you start your beginning.

When you see where you are going, it is much easier to get there. Knowing where you want to go or what the end results will be is essential to your making your business work.

Therefore, establish your goal. Be specific in it. Write your goal(s) on a business size card(s) and have the card(s) laminated.

Carry your card(s) with you at all times. Read them often and visualize yourself achieving the goal(s) on the card(s). Be sure to look at the card(s) first thing when you awaken in the morning and the last thing you see before you go to sleep at night.

One thing I find is that you will make your goal too small. Also, you will make your goal for an amount of money you believe you can achieve.

Don’t be afraid to dream.

Make your goal large enough that you feel uncomfortable with it at first.

The more you focus on your goal the sooner your subconscious mind will begin to find ways to achieve it. That’s why you must begin with the end in mind.

Set a Time Frame

One major part of your goal will be how long before your goal will be achieved? You need to set a time for completion of your goal.

The time you set may come with you having accomplished your goal. No problem. Reset the time frame for reaching your goal.

How Much Will I Have to Work

Takse Work

After you have committed your goal to mind and have a clear picture of where you are going, you will begin to develop means of achieving the goal.

During this developing period you will begin to see that some time will have to be committed to your goal. There is a good possibility that you won’t have that much time.

That’s OK! As your goal begins to materialize, you will find ways to have others do some work. You still hold the vision, you merely plug others into the slots which you can’t fill.

You operate from the standpoint that if you have the ability to see it, you will achieve it. The problem with most online business attempts is the inability to have vision.

If you can visualize the end results, the getting there will fall into place.

Reached My Goal: What Next

Let’s say you set a goal of making $1000 per month online in a year. You begin your business and within six months you are making $1000 per month. What do you do?

Write new goals. If you can make $1000 per month online, you can make $10,000 per month online. You have the knowledge to make money online. The amount then becomes up to you.

When you see that you will reach your goal, it is time to write a new goal.

How to Get Traffic

Your List

Without traffic you have no online business. There are several ways to get traffic to your site.

Blogging is one of the best ways to get free traffic to your site. Informative and useful pieces about your business brings traffic to your site.

However, this can be a slow process. Depending on your goal, It takes time to build a following.

But by creating valuable, useful information, you can begin to create traffic sooner.

One really good way to get traffic is to offer a valuable, free gift. The gift must be something that can help your readers in their lives. Some better free gifts can be:

  • a free course
  • a how to fix or do something
  • how to get free traffic
  • how to build a website
  • something for dummies–a book, plan or repair it

These are only a few suggestions to get your mind working. Something free that can help another better understand his/her situation in life is valuable to the reader.

Another source, maybe the best source for getting traffic is to buy advertisements. Facebook ads have proven to be one of the cheaper sources although this is changing.

However, there’s more to buying ads then merely buying ads. If you can’t track the ads, figure out the cost per add and the ROI-return on investment, then you have just wasted your money.

Much is written online about how to find out about all the above.

Once You Have Traffic

Now what! Have you made a way to contact the traffic? Do you have an autoresponder? Have you build a funnel or landing page.

Traffic without some way to utilize the addresses you are acquiring adds no value to your online business.

There are several autoresponders available:

  • Aweber–most popular
  • GetResponse
  • Mailchimp
  • Mailerlight
  • iContact
  • Constant Contact
  • Autoresponce Plus (ARP Reach)

These are only a few possibilities. Each has advantages and disadvantages. Some offer free trials, and some offer free programs up to a certain amount of email customers.

Choose the one you think is best for your business.
